Cool Northumberland Wedding – Le Petit Chateau
NATALIE & MATTY – LE PETIT CHATEAU WEDDING
Not long after when Natalie and Matty booked Le Petit Chateau in Otterburn for their wedding, I was asked by Nat to do her wedding make up and hair, as well as Mother of the Bride Lyn. I was over the moon to do this for my awesome creative friend who I’d know for a number of years. Although, I was a little nervous because of Nat’s infamous attention to detail that I had come to learn over the years.
I met Natalie at a York Wedding Fayre. We were both exhibiting our wares; her beautifully designed wedding stationery from I Am Nat and wedding make up artist and hair styling services. We hit it off straight away through our mutual love of comedy and live music and hung out at many gigs in Leeds and York.
Being a guest at their wedding and spending time with Natalie, Lyn and the bridesmaids that morning is something I will cherish for a long time. So much love and happiness in one room as well as the excitement of seeing everything come together after months of planning. I’ll never forget when her Dad saw Nat for the first time, one of my fave wedding moments. Natalie wore the most incredible Jenny Packham wedding gown, teamed with bespoke head dress from family friend Jane of HF Couture and a delicate single tier veil. Soft, boho hair styling and Natalie’s favourite smokey eye complimented the whole look.
Big loves to Natalie’s incredibly talented industry friends, Mary Quite Contrary Cakes who designed and made their delicious wedding cake which was out of this world. Fiona Pickles of Firenza Floral Design who made a show stopping floral installation in the ceremony room and dressed the whole venue so beautifully.
It was also a pleasure to finally meet and work with the brilliant Matt Horan Photography who captured the day perfectly!
Every part of this glorious wedding represented Natalie and Matty to a tee! Love, laughter, happiness, music and lots of dancing!
