Your Own Bridal Style
At every trial, I always ask my brides about their dress and it’s not just because I’m interested. Before a make up brush has touched your face, I’ve got the low down on your own personal style and how to translate this to your wedding day look.
We chat about all the lovely wedding details; flowers, venue, wedding gown, bridesmaids dress and bridal accessories…even what the boys are wearing! It’s so important to get the styling right and Miranda’s cool, effortless style was no exception!
BHLDN Wedding Gown
The BHLDN wedding gown was perfect for Miranda’s petite frame and she looked an absolute knockout with the key hole back detail. We’d chatted at length about how Miranda wore her hair day to day and she never really wears her hair down. My advice was that we should most definitely have the hair up, but in a way that suited her style. This would show off the beautiful back detail and also make Miranda still ‘feel’ like herself.
The beautiful lace capped sleeve detail of the gown worked perfectly with the soft delicate veil from Once Upon A Dress. Having a veil really suits a church ceremony, which was held at St Mary’s Church in Beverley.
Cool Marquee Wedding Yorkshire
Miranda’s personal style is relaxed (hello Nirvana t shirt!) and not ‘too done’, so we made sure this transferred into her make up and hair styling. Soft warm toned smokey eye to make her bright blue eyes pop and a bare lip looked gorgeous with glowing natural looking skin. Miranda isn’t a lipstick wearer, so it felt wrong to have this on her wedding day. Again, making it important to still look and feel like ‘you’ on your big day. Flowers in Miranda’s hair gave the Spring element to the whole look with the romance of the veil, just perfect for a May wedding.
Every element of Miranda’s wedding day look suited her perfectly. This comes down to working on the bridal style together, making little changes here and there. It’s your wedding day and you can have whatever you like!

Whilst I know that we have all had some low times this year, and we’re not out of the woods just yet, I wanted to make sure I took the time to reflect on what went down and what I’m grateful for, cos that’s the kinda girl I am!
So, grab a cuppa and have a read!
An Intimate Winter Wedding was not on the cards for Claire and Rhyan. In fact is was their intention to marry in the Summer of 2020 surrounded by all their friends and family.
Despite two postponements, lady luck finally shone for them at Middleton Lodge on 20th December 2020.
