Wharfedale Grange Outdoor Wedding Inspiration
Wharfedale Grange Make Up Artist Victoria Farr
Outdoor Wedding Inspiration at Wharfedale Grange, near Harrogate & Leeds
As a Make Up Artist at Wharfedale Grange, I was OVER THE MOON to hear that they were launching their Outdoor Wedding Ceremonies. This Luxury Wedding Venue near Harrogate and Leeds, just keeps on getting better and better!
I’m really lucky to have worked at Wharfedale Grange many times and I’m so very grateful to Claire and the team for recommending my services to their gorgeous brides. Seeing how this venue is evolving with their outdoor ceremonies and in-house floristry team, plus the LUSH renovation of the Farmhouse is incredible!
The Wharfedale Grange Dream Team
Invited to join the epic team by Claire and my buddy Shelly Mantovani from Toast of Leeds I was all in after seeing their BLUSH WEDDING INSPO! Joined with Event Prop Hire and the Floristry team at Wharfedale, we had two gorgeous models (Zach, a familiar Wharfedale Grange face and Shannon Ellis), a boho selection of wedding gowns by Enzoani from The Harrogate Wedding Lounge and we were GOOD TO GO!
It amazes me how every single element comes together perfectly and so much inspiration for brides and grooms for their big day.
Soft, smokey eye and relaxed Boho Waves
To create beautiful Shannon’s Boho Inspired Wedding day style, I wanted to keep the outdoor feel to her look. Nothing overly done (hello, have we met?!), soft and romantic to suit the style of gowns and the floral arrangements.
With a slight pull to the warm rose gold colour palette which suited Shannon’s eye colour and skin tone (super important!). Soft boho waves for her lovely warm toned brunette hair was perfect. Thank you to the lovely Bobby Pin for her accessories which I used in Shannon’s hair.
I adore creating styles like this, which have become my signature style. It’s important for me to ensure my brides still look like themselves on their big day, but giving them a soft romantic feel to everything. Effortless if you like!
Wearing make up for your wedding day doesn’t mean you have to have inch thick foundation and lashes that dominate your whole look. Or hair pinned back so tightly you’ve been given an instant face lift, oh and a headache by the time you sit down for your wedding breakfast. Not to mention finding bobby pins for DAYS!
Creating Shannon’s effortless boho hair up do, with a few pins and some teasing adorned with a few flowers, again, complimenting the overall look. Nothing out of place with the vibe we were creating.
Wedding make up and hair has evolved so much, even in the time I’ve been doing my work, but what I did 10 years ago still looks natural, effortless and not a victim to the latest make up craze. Timeless in fact!
Blossom Tree & Pampas Grass Inspired Wedding Style
The floral arrangements of ferns, soft pinks and peaches with pampas grass were romantic loveliness by the Floristry team. Event Prop Hire smashed it with their huge photo frame, soft velvet furniture and abundance of accessories and decorations. It was quite possibly the best wedding inspiration I’ve seen in a LONG time.
After being outdoors, we headed inside to change things up a bit and add even more wow to having your wedding at Wharfedale Grange. I was completely blown away with the collaboration and the killer shot of Shannon amidst the flowers, made me want to cry with happiness!
Zach looked pretty damn fly in his suit too!
Anyway, my buddy Shelly knocked us senseless with her images and I struggled to choose a selection for this post. You are incredible mate!!

OUR LATEST WORK
Whilst I know that we have all had some low times this year, and we’re not out of the woods just yet, I wanted to make sure I took the time to reflect on what went down and what I’m grateful for, cos that’s the kinda girl I am!
So, grab a cuppa and have a read!
An Intimate Winter Wedding was not on the cards for Claire and Rhyan. In fact is was their intention to marry in the Summer of 2020 surrounded by all their friends and family.
Despite two postponements, lady luck finally shone for them at Middleton Lodge on 20th December 2020.
